Component Level

The component level indicates the quality and expense of the components on the bike.
Electronic Shifting
Electronic shifting eliminates the use of mechanical cables, and instead an electrical pulse signals the shifters to move up or down a gear using a servo, powered by a battery. Electronic shifting provides incredibly precise and quick gear shifts, as well as lower maintenance. The downsides of these systems are that they are much more expensive, and weigh a bit more. But, it is worth it if you have the money to spend.
